Copper–Copper(II) Sulphate Electrode

The one of its kind Electrode made up of Copper and copper(II) sulphate. Based on the redox reaction where metal (copper) participates with salt, copper(II) sulphate and thus is useful in measuring whether Anode is working to its full potential or not.

The chemical equation for the above process can be equated as under.

Cu2+ + 2e− → Cu0(metal)
